She's Growing...

Meet Ms. C, my niece! She is a doll! And like almost all one-year-olds I photograph...BUSY!!! Her mom (my step-sis Megan) and I burned lots of calories on this session! Although we don't have lots of images to choose from, we got a few great ones and that's what counts!







Megan and her hubby and brood live in Houston so we made sure to spend lots of fun with the cousins while they were here for a few days. Here are some loosely edited photos in no particular order (because I am too lazy to reorder them after blogger messes them all up) from our fun time with them on the 4th.



I love how they just barely can see over the counter...just enough to dream of eating the whole thing by themselves!

This Family is a Perfect Example of Why...

...I love my job!!!

I have so much fun with what I do. I get to meet amazing, loving, kind, fun families like this one all the time! They are so much fun and it feels just like hanging out with friends during our sessions!

This is Mr. L's second session in his Sweet, Sweet Baby plan. Here he is just a few short months ago. I Never cease to be amazed at how quickly babies change in that first year!!

Fun on the 4th...er, I Mean 2nd

Last year we went to the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens "Concert in the Gardens" to celebrate the fourth of July. It was so fun, we decided to go again this year. Although it was hotter this year than I remember last year being, we found some shade, drank lots of water, ate lots of food and had fun!!

My nephew Logan. He gave me this sweet smile in exchange for looking at the pictures on my camera...whatever works!

HAD to have this hat! For all you clients out there, this hat is now officially a prop so just ask if you want to use it in pictures. (isn't she PRECIOUS!!!) She actually has a pretty good sunburn from swimming earlier in the day on her nose and cheeks...isn't Photoshop great?!?!

I think you are unamerican if you don't love OREOS...just kidding (kind of) :P


Also my nephew (Mr. Logan's brother) and why it's George Washington of Course. Connor was the only kid in the group brave enough to have his picture taken with him. The other kids called him a pirate. I'm not telling you who I thought he was...no way!

Yes, I realize this is as grainy as all get out. Pitch black with some mild ambient lighting and the light from the fireworks. But, you just can't capture the fact that they are watching glowing fireworks at night with a flash so grainy it will stay! I love the look of wonder on Max's face (and Matt's too, it looks like...snicker!)

It's another Portrait Party! These are oh so fun!!!

Yeah Baby...

First of all...I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since I posted! Three kids home 24/7 and a full time job and passes to Hawaiian Falls and VBS (and so on, and so on, and so on), life is crazy...but I LOVE IT!!!

Anywho...on to the topic the title is for!
Matt Wi bowled a 299....OMGOODNESS!!!
He bowled 11 strikes in a row and hit 9 pins on his last ball.
I told him I was going to have to blog the proof or no one would believe it.
So...here it is!! (disclaimer...these were taken with my iphone)

In Love...

...with this family! These sweet bright-eyed children stole my heart Saturday morning! They are both absolutely precious! Towards the end of the session Mr. L snuggled right up to me and started playing with my hair! What a little lover!!
This is Ms. W's second session in her baby plan. She is a tiny, adorable bundle of joy!

This shot says it all...

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night...

Couldn't resist the title (see the 2nd paragraph for an explanation).

Meet precious Ms. M. You may remember her from her newborn session here and her 6-month session here . It has been sooo fun to watch her grow. During most of the session she was reserved. I think she was taking in all of the sights and sounds and, who knows, maybe she could feel the storm coming. She warmed up for us at the end and we got a few great smiles! She is beautiful whether she's smiling or not...those big blue eyes just draw you in! Isn't she GORGEOUS!!

At the end of the session we could see the storm clouds rolling in. When the lightening started we made a high-tail for our cars. About halfway there we could feel the cold front hit us with gusty-cool winds and we were soon being chased by a metal trashcan. We escaped the trashcan and made it to our cars just before the downpour began. It was a thrill ride home and you may think I'm crazy but I loved every minute of it! Something about a good thunderstorm really rejuvenates me! I guess I am meant to be from Texas!!
